ROTARY CLUB OF ALBUQUERQUE
DEL NORTE - To equip twelve mid-school classrooms at the
Santo Domingo Indian Reservation with books for classrooms and
lending libraries.
Project cost -- $10,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF CARLSBAD
- To determine (with a Discovery Grant) the needs for the
impoverished areas on the border in the area of Bouquillas.
The goal is to help establish crafts or trades with which
the area residents can support themselves.
Possible project cost -- $50,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF CHIHUAHUA
AMIGO - To create a bank of medicine for children with
cancer in the low-income area of Chihuahua City.
Project cost -- $10,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF CHIHUAHUA
AMIGO - To equipment a chemical laboratory for clinical
analysis to support the Mental Health Center of Chihuahua.
Project cost -- $14,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF
CHIHUAHUA ENLACE - To provide a solar water pumping unit
for a rural community which has no electrical services.
Project cost -- $8,500.
ROTARY CLUB OF
FARMINGTON - To help center in San Juan County which
provides medical help for people who cannot pay.
Project cost -- $4,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF FARMINGTON
- To provide supplies and equipment for a hospice program in
San Juan County.
Project cost -- $4,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF JUAREZ
EJECUTIVO - Literacy rooms and clinic to serve the many
needy people coming into Juarez from the countryside.
Pediatric/Emergency rooms to be located in existing
facilities, such as schools or community centers.
Total budget is $48,000
Needed to complete project -- $2,400
ROTARY CLUB OF JUAREZ
FRONTERA - Assistance in teaching children ethical values.
Project cost -- $4,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF JUAREZ
INTEGRA - To buy equipment for a home to help street kid
reintegrate into the community.
This home serves girls from 3-14-years-old who have been
abandoned and provides 24-hour attention.
The equipment needed: vehicle, air conditioner,
washer/dryer and refrigerator.
Project cost -- $16,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF JUAREZ
ORIENTE - Hospital equipment to serve the indigent
requiring surgical procedures.
Project cost -- $24,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF NUEVO CASAS
GRANDES - To
acquire for the city an efficient, recent model pumper fire truck
to replace the only pumper fire truck in the community, which is a
1965 model for which it is difficult to find parts.
Project cost -- $40,000
ROTARY CLUB OF NUEVO
CASAS GRANDES PAQUIME - To assist an elementary school
with equipment and to provide breakfast (for one year) to starving
children.
Project cost -- $4,500
ROTARY CLUB OF SANTA FE
- To help equip a bookmobile to serve the area of Santa Fe County
with the lowest income families, most of whom speak only Spanish.
Project cost - $10,000-15,000.
ROTARY CLUB OF TORREON
- To provide equipment for a facility that will provide a safe
place for children-at-risk. The
home is meant to be a place where children, families, and the
community can interact around actions which can provide the
children with attention which can help them reintegrate socially
and get direction.
Project cost -- $16,000
ROTARY CLUB OF TORREON
- Support for a center that provides services to children with
Down=s
Syndrome. The need is
to provide two playgrounds, tires for a van that has been donated,
and equipment for a classroom to provide training for their social
integration.
Project cost -- $8000.

provides service to the lower income population.
Equipment is needed for the neonatal unit.

and health support for approximately 100 families (to include
approximately 1000 children).
Needed: medical equipment, kitchen equipment,
tables/chairs, video equipment and office equipment.

born with birth defects.
