Numerous events are
being scheduled in El Paso, Texas on the week of April
20th, 1998. The fiestas will culminate in the expedition
crossing the Rio Grande at El Paso, Texas on April 26th to coincide with the original crossing in 1598.
Note the list below illustrates only the major
destinations along the 460 mile route. The Carreta will
be traveling at an average of 8 miles per day resulting
in an excess of 30 camps. Approximately half of the camps
will be located in isolated desert locations. All the
